Programme funding requirement
Scholanet's programme funding requirement is UGX 1,000,000,000 — approximately USD 266,667 at a planning conversion rate of UGX 3,750 / USD. This is a planning conversion, not a live exchange rate, and is not funds already raised. Scholanet's public dashboards distinguish TARGET, ACTUAL, PLEDGED and DEPLOYED figures.
Programme targets guiding this ecosystem: up to 13.5 million learners, 49,000 education institutions and 28,000 teachers supported through Teacher Studio and content-economy opportunities. These are targets, not current adoption figures.
The five-year national-scale investment envelope is UGX 250–350 billion (central planning scenario: UGX 300 billion), staged across Build, National Deployment and Maximum National Ecosystem phases. See the full funding breakdown. Pledged, committed, received and spent amounts are kept separate, and live raised/received figures are connected to the authorised funding ledger only once it is in place.
